Founded by Carol Hodge, a proud Latina descendant and daughter of resilient immigrant women, the café is a living tribute to the generations who came before her — women whose hands built, healed, and fed with courage and care.
Inspired by her grandmother’s cherished recipes and her mother’s unwavering spirit, Carol turned her family’s kitchen into a sanctuary — one where flavor meets legacy, and every dish is an act of love.
What began as a humble dream in a home kitchen has grown into Amores Café, a gathering place where food becomes medicine and nourishment becomes memory. Each meal tells a story — of heritage, of hope, and of the power of women who refuse to give up on themselves or their dreams.
