About Maribel

For more than thirteen years, Maribel Vélez has helped women see and celebrate their beauty — inside and out. A licensed cosmetologist, entrepreneur, and certified clinical medical assistant, Maribel’s journey reflects resilience, courage, and self-investment.

Her passion for lashing began nearly a decade ago at a boutique in Harlem, where she quickly realized her gift for precision, artistry, and client connection. From there, she advanced to a celebrity high-end salon as a receptionist, gaining valuable insight into the beauty industry. She later refined her craft at a lash salon in Inwood, mastering technique and elevating her standards for client care.

When the world paused during the COVID-19 pandemic, Maribel took a leap of faith — turning uncertainty into opportunity — and launched her own business, MV.beautie, in New York City. Through her brand, she offers luxury lash services and empowers clients to feel confident, radiant, and whole.
